A Aviation Week Network anunciou os vencedores do seu 63º Prêmio Laureate, honrando conquistas extraordinárias na arena aeroespacial global.

Os vencedores do Laureate Awards 2020 serão homenageados em 12 de março de 2020 no National Building Museum em Washington, DC, onde um Grand Laureate em cada uma das quatro categorias será nomeado dentre os vencedores.

“Esses vencedores, selecionados pelos editores da Aviation Week Network que revisaram dezenas de indicações, incorporam o espírito de exploração, inovação e visão que inspirará outras pessoas a se esforçarem por um amplo progresso na aviação, aeroespacial e defesa”, disse o Editor-chefe de Aviation Week & Space Technology, Joseph C. Anselmo. “Estamos ansiosos para honrá-los e anunciar os vencedores do Grand Laureate em março.”

As categorias de prêmios são Aviação Executiva, Aviação Comercial, Defesa e Espaço.
Além disso, a Semana da Aviação concederá o Prêmio Philip J. Klass de Realização ao Longo da Vida.

Quatro cadetes novatos das academias militares dos EUA serão reconhecidos como Líderes do Amanhã, homenageando jovens homens e mulheres que escolheram carreiras nas forças armadas.

Além do Prêmio Laureate, a Semana da Aviação reconhecerá os “20 Anos 20” em parceria com o Instituto Americano de Aeronáutica e Astronáutica (AIAA).

Este programa reconhece as realizações e a motivação de 20 estudantes de ciências, tecnologia, engenharia e matemática na faixa dos 20 anos e atualmente matriculados em um programa de mestrado ou bacharelado.

A Embraer venceu na categoria Melhor Novo Produto – Embraer C-390 Millennium – O primeiro avião-tanque / transporte C-390 Millennium, o maior e mais sofisticado avião já desenvolvido pela Embraer, foi entregue à Força Aérea Brasileira em 2019.

Platforms – Airbus A321LR

Platforms – Bell V-280 Valor

From low-speed agility to speeds beyond 280 kt., Bell’s V-280 advanced tiltrotor has met or exceeded objectives under the U.S. Army’s Joint Multi-Role demonstration.

Best New Product – Embraer C-390 Millennium

The first C-390 tanker/transport, the largest and most sophisticated aircraft yet developed by Embraer, was delivered to the Brazilian Air Force in 2019.

  1. É bom receber premiação mas a melhor delas será uma carteira de pedidos firmes bem volumosa. Eu entendo que não é fácil montar este backlog, leva tempo e bom relacionamento mas que não demore um Millenium.
